WELS stands for Water Efficiency Labelling and Standards. It shows how water-efficient a tap or shower product is, helping you compare water usage before purchasing.
Yes. Tapware should be installed by a licensed plumber to ensure it is fitted correctly and complies with Australian plumbing standards.
We recommend using a licensed plumber. Incorrect installation can cause leaks, damage, or performance problems and may affect your warranty.

In many cases, yes, but always check the product’s intended use, dimensions, water connections, and your plumber’s advice before purchasing.
Usually not recommended unless the product dimensions and function suit the bathroom setup. Kitchen mixers are generally larger and designed for sinks.
Most tapware is made from 304 stainless steel, depending on the product. Individual product pages will list the material details.
Most mixers include standard installation fittings, but inclusions vary by product. Please check the product description before ordering.
Yes, our accessories are designed to pair beautifully with our tapware and shower finishes. Slight variations can occur between materials and batches.
We do our best to show finishes accurately, but colours can vary depending on lighting, screen settings, surrounding materials, and production batches.
Some brass-look finishes may naturally soften or change slightly with use, lighting, cleaning habits, and water conditions. This is part of normal wear unless stated otherwise.
Use warm water, mild soap, and a soft cloth. Dry after cleaning to reduce water spots.
Ordering
Yes. At this stage we only ship our products to Australia and New Zealand.
Yes. Having your tapware onsite before rough-in helps your plumber confirm measurements, fittings and installation requirements.
It is the easiest way to create a cohesive look and avoid mismatched tones across tapware, showers and accessories. However if you purchase our swatch set this would allow you to match our products with another brand.
Warranty
Yes. Tap & House products come with warranty coverage against manufacturing faults. Warranty length and coverage may vary by product type.
Warranty generally covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship. It does not cover incorrect installation, misuse, normal wear and tear, scratches, or damage from harsh cleaning products.
Warranty usually covers the product or replacement parts only, not plumber, electrician, removal or reinstallation costs, unless required by Australian Consumer Law.
